Amazon Kindle
Sometime around 2016-17 Amazon Kindle asked Ben if it would be alright if he brought them along on the trip of a lifetime with he and one of his closest friends. Naturally, he told them that would be difficult since the Airstream only slept 2-4 comfortably, and they’d have to pass a pretty rigorous vibe check. So instead he wrote a proposal where they could drop off a bag of money, and in exchange he would bring some film gear along and let them exploit it for their campaign, Have Kindle, Will Travel.
In all seriousness, the Kindle team was a dream to work with, so supportive in every way, and we all went on an adventure deep into the Alaskand and Canadian wilderness for several months, and none of us have been the same since.
KX Lab
In 2022 KX Lab brought Ben on as, “Filmmaker in Residence,” to produce a series of doc shorts that bring their incredible modern factory to life in creative ways that highlight their innovative approach to manufacturing, ethics in labor and ecological practices, and position them as a hub of creativity in general.
